However, this assessment was fortunately less and less true in recent years, owing to the Miskolc Opera Festival, too. In the previous three years several premieres of Hungarian operas took place at the Festival - among others the new work of György Selmeczi, János Vajda, György Orbán and László Dubrovay. We have a good reason to hope, that this tendency will continue in the future, as well.
