Kielce Dance Theatre was established on the base of artistic achievements of private ensemble of Elżbieta Szlufik-Pańtak. Since 1998 as the Association Kielce Dance Theatre was leading together by Elżbieta Szlufik-Pańtak and Grzegorz Pańtak. 11 March 2004 it was appointed as the City Institution of Culture (since 2013 r. institution of Art, entered in the register of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage). Since that date its organizer is City Kielce .

It’s repertoire is based on jazz dance in its traditional and contemporary styles. With such a wide range of skills and professional preparation of the artists, presented repertoire is very diverse and the Theatre, besides its own productions is invited to co-operations (Opera House in Wroclaw - Poland, Landestheatre Niederbayern - Germany, Israeli Opera - Israel, Alias Cia Switzerland, a few TV stations).

On commission and in cooperation with Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv, the Kielce Dance Theater produced two mega productions for Opera Festival in Masada: Traviata (2014), and Carmina Burana (2015) directed by Michał Znaniecki and choreography by Elżbieta Pańtak and Grzegorz Pańtak.

Amongst realization of dance performances there are both small choreographic pieces and spectacles with participation of the symphony orchestra and choir. Performances of Kielce Dance Theatre were presented on the most of polish stages as well as abroad (Germany, Ukraine, Czech Republic, USA, Belgium, France, Japan, Israel, China)

Reaching to the tradition Kielce Dance Theatre realized contemporary version of Nutcracker choreographed by Elżbieta Szlufik-Pańtak and Grzegorz Pańtak. It is made in modern jazz style.
In 2010 Theatre realized in co-operation with TVP 2 dance-music performance Chopin4 with arrangement of Włodek Pawlik team and participation of Aga Zaryan and Urszula Dudziak.

In 2013 Kielce Dance Theatre realized spectacle The rite of spring with the music by Igor Stravinski and choreographed by Angelin Preljocaj. On the base of this spectacle the film in 2D and 3D technology was produced.

In 2009, the musical Seven Gates of Jerusalem with the participation of Kielce Dance Theatre Ballet received the main prize, Czech Crystal, at the 46th International Television Festival of Music Productions - Golden Prague and the nomination for TV INTERNATIONAL EMMY® AWARD in USA, in the category ARTS PROGRAMMING.

Kielce Dance Theatre is the organizer of the cyclic event called Kielce Dance Festival which runs from 2001. Among the Festival guests were: Ballet Grand Theatre of National Opera in Warsaw, soloists of American Ballet Theatre, Ballet Arizona, Ballet Noir, Staatsballett Berlin, Munich, Bayerisches Staatsballett, Ballet Nacional de Cuba, and many other artists.

Promotion of jazz dance styles, which Kielce Dance Theatre mainly uses and International Jazz Dance Workshops which the Theatre has organized since 2001 allow to name Kielce as the Polish capital city of jazz dance.
