Performers
Bartók Plus Opera Festival hosts world-renowned Hungarian artists as well as stars of the international opera scene. Since its beginnings almost all significant soloists, opera companies and music ensembles from Central Eastern Europe have appeared on its stages at least once. The “Bartók Choir of Miskolc” was established in 1975 as oratorio-choir. At present, the choir has double profile, which has been developped during the 1970s: it performs both oratorios and a capella works, from renaissance up to the contemporary music.
