St. István (Saint Stephen) square is located in the centre of Miskolc, at the end of the Széchenyi Street. The name of the square comes from the satue of St. Stephen placed there, made by Zsolt Jószay to the Millenium. In front of the statue we can see a colorful flower clock, which shows the exact time from spring to autumn, and in December it functions as an Advent wreath for the citizens. The square is the scene for national and urban festivals.
