Dmitry Khromov was born in Fryazino, the Moscow Region, graduated from the Sergey Prokofiev Moscow Regional Music College (training course of N. Balyuk), the Musical Theatre Department of the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts (workshop of D. Bertman). Dmitry is a diploma winner of the Moscow Regional Festival of Church Music Devoted to the 2000 Years of Christianity (1999), the winner of the Varlamov 3rd All-Russian Vocal Competition (Tver, 2001), improved his skills at the master classes of E. Obraztsova. In 2012 he was awarded a special prize of the festival “Young music ambassadors” (Canada) – a solo concert with the Montreal Symphonic Orchestra directed by K. Nagano.
Since 2003 Dmitry was a trainee of Helikon-Opera, and since 2006 he has been a soloist there. He made his debut as Alwa (“Lulu”, A. Berg). Since 2007 Dmitry has been collaborating with the Musical Theatre “Na Basseynoy” (Kaliningrad). He is a soloist of a youth program Petit Opera of the “Open Stage” project, participated in the Moscow Conservatory Festival Devoted to the 100th Anniversary of O. Messiaen.
In 2011 he made his debut on the stage of the Bolshoi theatre as Gvidon (“The Golden Cockerel” by N. Rimsky-Korsakov).
