Dmitry Yankovsky was born in Leningrad, graduated from the Saint-Petersburg State Academy of Theatre Arts with a specialization in “Actor of Musical Theatre” (workshop of A. Petrov). He is the winner of the International Competition “Poyuschaya Maska” (Saint-Petersburg, 2007), the Patristic Song Festival “Rossia Molodaya” (2007), a diploma winner of the 16th Festival “The Theatres of Saint-Petersburg to Children” (2007) for the roles of Petya Pioneer in the play “Petya and the Wolf” and the Father in the play “Rikki-Tikki-Tavi”, the winner of the 4th International Music Tournament Terem Crossover.
Dmitry took part in the musicals “La Belle et la Bête” (2008) and Mamma Mia (2012), was put forward as a candidate to “The Guinness Book of Records” by Stage Entertainment for his simultaneous performance of five roles in one play (“La Belle et la Bête”), acted in films and TV series, participated in the music project “Novye Golosa”. He is the author of the NeoClassic project.
Dmitry Yankovsky has been a soloist of Helikon-Opera since 2009, made his debut as the Athlete (“Lulu” by A. Berg) at the “Bartok+” festival (Hungary).
