He was born in Budapest, in 1954. Jászai Mari Award winning (1994) stage designer, university professor. His brother Csörsz Khell is also a costume- and stage designer.
His parents are Ádám Khell and Mária Wicklein. He graduated at Ybl Miklós Construction Engineering College between 1973 and 1975. Afterwards he studied at the College of Arts and crafts between 1976 and 1980 on Interior design department. He is engaged in stage design since 1979. 1982–1984 he was an interior designer at MÁV Design Institute. 1984–1986 art member at Hevesi Sándor Theatre, 1986–2009 art member at Csiky Gergely Theatre. Freelancer since 2009, and a lecturer at the University of Theatre and Film Arts.
