Performers
Bartók Plus Opera Festival hosts world-renowned Hungarian artists as well as stars of the international opera scene. Since its beginnings almost all significant soloists, opera companies and music ensembles from Central Eastern Europe have appeared on its stages at least once. Having studied as a choral scholar at New College Oxford, Daniel went on to study in the US and Canada and at the Royal Academy of Music and has since established himself as a highly adaptable singer/actor able to encompass the most dramatic interpretations of the most demanding contemporary works currently in performance, such as Ades, Birtwistle and Ligeti.
After having launched his career at the Hungarian Music Academy of Ferenc Liszt he continued his studies at the University of Southern Mississippi and completed them at the opera department of the Music University of Vienna. Freshly graduated he was honoured with the "Herbert von Karajan Stipendium" award which enabled him to start his professional career with the Wiener Staatsoper. He performed guest appearances at Opera Colorado (USA), Carnegie Hall New York, Santory Hall (Japan), Auditorium di Milano (Italy) etc. He won numerous voice competitions in Italy, USA and Hungary.
