Performers
Bartók Plus Opera Festival hosts world-renowned Hungarian artists as well as stars of the international opera scene. Since its beginnings almost all significant soloists, opera companies and music ensembles from Central Eastern Europe have appeared on its stages at least once. Tenor, Mihail Mihaylov, graduated from the National Music Academy of Sofia ‘Prof. Pancho Vladigerov’ Academy, where he studied with Professor Ivanka Ninova. At the age of twenty-two, during his studies, he made his opera debut singing the part of Count Almaviva in G. Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia.
A bass-bariton opera singer and teacher spent his childhood at the Children’s Choir of the Hungarian Radio. At secondary school he was looking for the most suitable genre to try himself out. Finally, he has found his own artistic way of life in singing and acting. In parallel with that he also studied composing and music theory, and gained extensive experience in studio technology.
